Orhan Kaçmaz is an entrepreneur who produces culture mushrooms in the village of Benekli, connected to the Tatvan district of Bitlis. In his production facility, he meets the regional mushroom demand by producing approximately 6 tons of mushrooms per month in a closed area of 1150 square meters.

Kaçmaz stated that the facility is currently operational at one-fourth capacity and that they send the mushrooms they produce to regional cities such as Bitlis, Muş, and Van in order to meet the demand of the region. He also expressed their goal of reaching a monthly production capacity of 20 tons by operating at full capacity.

Kaçmaz mentioned that they have been working in the industry for many years and recently moved to a larger facility. He explained that they produce mushrooms in a closed area of 1150 square meters, and they harvest the products every 3 days, currently achieving a production between 6-7 tons.

Kaçmaz aims to meet the mushroom demand of the region and contribute to the local economy by reaching their products to regional markets. He expressed that reaching full production capacity and achieving a monthly production of 20 tons will contribute to both production and employment.
